It is a fact that everyone goes through rough and hard times in life. We have all been through instances that we feel like all hope is lost or we don’t see a way forward.
However, we should never forget that in the world we will have tribulation. But take heart; Jesus has overcome the world (John 16:33), and so shall we! We must always focus on the fact that though we go through hardships, though we may feel down, broken, tired – that this is not our forever. For God has said that He knows the plans He has for us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give us a hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11).
Let us therefore rejoice in all circumstances; “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39).
When I wrote this song, I always said that these words will be a testimony unto others – that God always and forever will be there for whoever wishes to call upon His name. Never forget that you are loved by a Living God, an Omnipotent Father, and the Creator of all things.
